NEW BAND HALL
The Gorey Pipe Band has finally found a new band hall after being evicted from the premises at the rear of the VEC building to allow for demolition work. The Gorey Pipe Band have taken up residence in the Cois Doire community building and would like to thank Cllr. Jimmy Flemming for helping us secure the building. The band would also like to thank the CBS and Naomh Eanna for allowing us to practise on their premises' since 2007.

The Gorey Pipe Band Christmas raffle draw will take place on the 21st of December in Browns Bar. Prizes include;
1. Hamper
2. Turkey & Ham
3. Bottle of Spirits
and Various others
Tickets are available from all members and will be on sale the night of the draw.

RESULTS OF THE EAST OF IRELAND CHAMPIONSHIPS 28TH OF JUNE 2009
The Gorey Pipe Band travelled to the East of Ireland Pipe Band Championships in Howth, Co. Dublin on the 28th of June. The band came 1st in both grades 4B and 4A and won Best Drumming in both grades also!

The Gorey Pipe Band Travelled to the All Ireland Pipe Band Championships in Lisburn, County Down on Saturday the 4th of July. Overall, the band was placed 5th out of 19 bands.

ARKLOW SEABREEZE COMPETITION
The Gorey Pipe Bands took part in the Arklow Seabreeze competition on Sunday the 19th of July. The Band won 1st prize in grade 4b and also best drumming in grade 4b. The band came third in grade 4a.
